Premade Book Cover Licensing Terms
- Exclusivity: Once a premade cover is purchased, it is customized according to the author’s/purchaser’s requirements on request. There will be no extra charges to do that. But any images/stock photos/illustrations used will be purchased by the purchaser separately.
- Customization: The purchase price includes tailoring the text layout (Title, Author Name, Tagline/Series Info) and minor color adjustments to match your book’s branding.
- E-Books: Unlimited digital sales and distribution on all global platforms (Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, etc.).
- Print Books: Up to 500,000 print copies (paperback or hardcover combined). If your print run exceeds 500,000 copies, you must contact Retina99 Studio to upgrade to an Extended License.
- Promotional Material: You may freely use the cover graphic for marketing, including social media graphics, website banners, bookmarks, and newsletter promotions.
- No Unaltered Reselling: You cannot resell, lease, or redistribute the artwork as a template or standalone file.
- Print-on-Demand Merchandising (POD): The standard license does not permit you to sell the artwork on physical merchandise (t-shirts, mugs, posters) where the cover design is the primary reason people buy the item. (Contact us if you need a merchandise license add-on).
- No AI Training: The artwork may not be fed into generative artificial intelligence models or scraping software for any purpose.
- Stock Images and Illustrations: Any stock images and illustrations used in the design will be purchased by the author/purchaser and these are not included in the premade cover’s price.
- We ensure all design elements comply strictly with global stock licensing regulations.
- The original source files (layered PSDs) remain the property of Retina99 Studio and are not included in the standard purchase price unless explicitly bought as a premium add-on package.

Questions & Answers
What services do you offer?
I specialize in professional book cover design and interior formatting for authors, publishers, and indie writers. My services include custom front covers, full wraparound print covers (front, spine, and back), e-book cover design, and clean, print-ready interior layouts for both fiction and non-fiction. I design for all major genres, from thrillers and romance to children’s books and non-fiction.
How do you approach a new project
Every project starts with understanding your book — genre, target audience, comparable titles, and the mood you want the cover to convey. I research your market so the design doesn’t just look good, it sells. From there I share initial concepts, refine based on your feedback, and deliver polished final files ready for KDP, IngramSpark, or your printer of choice.
What is your project timeline?
Most book cover designs are completed within 5-7 business days from kickoff, depending on complexity and revisions. Interior formatting typically takes 10-14 business days depending on page count and design detail. Rush turnaround is available on request — just let me know your deadline when you reach out.
How much do your services cost?
Pricing depends on the scope of the project — whether it’s an e-book-only cover, a full print wraparound, or interior formatting for a specific page count. I offer package options to fit different budgets. Reach out with your project details and I’ll send a tailored quote.
What platforms do you work with?
I deliver print-ready, high-resolution files (PDF, JPG, PNG) formatted to your specifications, along with editable source files (PSD/AI/InDesign) on request. My interior layouts are built to meet the formatting requirements of Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and other major print-on-demand and publishing platforms.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. Every project includes a minimum 3 revision rounds so we can fine-tune the design together until it’s exactly right. Additional revisions beyond that are available if needed.
